My name is Lydia McPherson and over the past year, I have been working on getting my Watershed Steward Certification with the Anne Arundel County Watershed Stewards Academy. Part of my certification process includes completing a capstone project. Over the past several months I have been working with the amazing members of the Cape Conservation Corps to plan a landscaping project along the banks of Deep Creek – next to the Cape boat ramp. After months of planning, we will finally be doing the project installation over the next two weekends(and we need help!).
We will be removing invasive species this Saturday, October 1st, and will be replacing them with native plants the following Saturday, October 8th. If you would like to lend a hand, you can sign up to be a volunteer at the link below. Would really love to see you there!
