At Chesapeake Natives, it is our mission to promote, protect, and propagate plants native to the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. We are a small, volunteer-based group which operates out of beautiful Rosaryville State Park in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Summer is right around the corner and we are very busy at the nursery!
Chesapeake Natives is currently looking for volunteers to join us for a few one time events in June, as well as recurring volunteers, to join our team on a regular basis.
We are seeking volunteers to help remove invasive species around the nursery property Saturday June 12th, 19th, and 26th from 9:30AM-1PM. This is a great opportunity to learn about native and invasive species in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. To sign up please visit: http://bit.ly/CNIsignup
We are open for recurring volunteers Monday-Friday 10AM-3PM, Saturday 9AM-1PM. Every day is different at the nursery! Primarily, we focus on plant propagation including seed germination, dibbling seedlings, and potting up larger plants. We are also looking for folks interested in learning more about habitat restoration and demonstration garden maintenance.
Whether you are a gardening enthusiast or have limited knowledge on plants, you are welcome to volunteer.
If interested or want more information please contact volunteer@chesapeakenatives.org
We look forward to meeting you!
