Inspiring Young Environmental Stewards – with your help!
Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center in Grasonville, MD is hosting a training date for new volunteers interested in helping with our education programs – Friday April 5th from 10-3pm.
Each year we host over 6,000 students on property for hands-on, feet-wet environmental education programs designed to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards. We rely on volunteers to lead or assist staff with lessons during these field trips.
- A desire to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards
- Some free time during the week – we have programs every weekday, except (most) Mondays. Programs are usually 4-5 hours long. Some volunteers work 1 day a month, while others work 3-4 times a week! We have an online calendar for volunteers to view and sign up for easy scheduling!
Interested? Contact Katey Nelson, Education Coordinator to register for training on April 5th or to schedule a date to shadow a program. Email Katey at knelson@bayrestoration.org
