Come out to Chesapeake Natives Nursery in Rosaryville State Park on Sunday April 30th from 10AM-2PM for our next Open House Sale AND for the DC City Nature Challenge: Who lives in our native plants? (https://www.eventbrite.com/…/city-nature-challenge-at…)
Join Science Educator Adrienne van den Beemt, and Master Naturalists (and fabulous Chesapeake Natives Volunteers) Corinne and Bill Irwin, as we search for insects and other creatures at Chesapeake Natives Nursery. We’ll share tips and tricks for making iNaturalist observations as we explore.
After we’re done, browse the plant sale at Chesapeake Natives Nursery, and bring home plants that attract our native critters. The City Nature Challenge Insect Walk will begin at 11AM.
Our native plants are grown on site from locally gathered native seed. Chesapeake Natives volunteers will be available at the sale to help you find the right native plants for your space. Please reach out to info@chesapeakenatives.org if you have any questions.
Please note, the entrance to the nursery is at 9640 Rosaryville Road. You cannot reach the nursery through the Rosaryville State Park entrance on 301.
