Families are invited to experience and learn about Spa Creek at the Kids on the Creek event, Sunday, August 24, from 11am-3pm at Truxtun Park, near the boat ramp in Annapolis.
We have more room for fun on the water and exploring the adjacent shoreline. All are welcome. Free lunch will be available.
Members of Eastport Yacht Club will offer free boat rides. Visitors can board a boat and cruise from the mouth of Spa Creek to the headwaters. Onboard guides will point out landmarks and preservation efforts along Spa Creek.
Activities will include:
- Free boat rides with a tour of Spa Creek begin at 11:00am
- Free food and drink
- Games
- Creek Crafts
- Creek Critters Touch Tank
- Clean Creek Demonstration
- Seining with fish identification led by an expert fish biologist at noon and 2 pm. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity.
- Paddleboard lessons will be offered by qualified instructors from Capital SUP
