Hello friends!

“As the United States transitions to a “minority majority” nation, a staggering number of people of color do not identify with America’s wild places.”

Join Stevenson University’s Center for Environmental Stewardship as we watch the first Black mountaineering crew climb the tallest mountain in America in the award-winning film “An American Ascent” ! Following the film will be a panel discussion on the importance of engaging people of color in the outdoors as our nation’s demographic changes. Don’t forget to stick around for the resource fair to connect with more than 10 local outdoor organizations! Everyone is welcome!

This event has been funded by the Chesapeake Bay Trust and will be held on July 21st from 12-4:30 pm at Stevenson University.
