Attend the Chesapeake Bay Trust’s virtual office hours session on 2/22/24 at 12:30pm to 1:15pm to ask questions and obtain guidance for your application to the Green Streets, Green Jobs, Green Towns (G3) Grant Program. Applications are due on March 7, 2024 at 4pm ET.

The G3 grant program is a partnership between the Chesapeake Bay Trust, US EPA Region III, Chesapeake Bay Program, and WV DEP. This grant program aims to help communities develop and implement plans that reduce stormwater runoff, increase the number and amount of green spaces in urban areas, improve the health of local waters and the Chesapeake Bay, and enhance quality of life and community livability. Example projects include design and construction of green streets, rain gardens, green roofs, pollinator gardens, white papers/tools on green infrastructure, and more.

 Eligible Project Tracks and Funding Request Amounts:

  • Track 1: Conceptual Plans (up to $20,000)
  • Track 2: Engineered Designs (up to $35,000)
  • Track 3: Implementation/Construction (up to $175,000)
  • Track 4: Community Greening (up to $50,000)
  • Track 5: White Papers (up to $20,000)
  • Track 6: Charrette/Technical Planning Assistance (no direct funding)

This program can support projects within the Chesapeake Bay watershed portion of Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington D.C., and West Virginia.
