Join Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake for a special film screening and Chesapeake Conversation as we explore toxins close to home that impact the quality of our environment and the health of our communities. We’ll be learning about a Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) tank in Wicomico County, Maryland with striking environmental and environmental justice implications. In this Chesapeake Conversation, we’ll hear directly from Wicomico County resident Lynette Kenney whose quality of life has been degraded by the DAF tank and the Wicomico Environmental Trust, who was involved in the effort to advocate for preventing other communities from being affected by DAF tanks.

This Chesapeake Conversation will begin with an optional screening of “Gut Soup”, a 27-minute documentary detailing the impact of the Wicomico County DAF tank. The screening will begin promptly at 6:25 PM, before we move into the Chesapeake Conversation and discussion portion of this event at 7:00 PM.
