The National Marine Educators Association 2026 Annual Conference concludes with field trips on July 16th. There are several spots available for some of the field trips that we are opening to non-conference attendees to join. You don’t have to be an educator to join the field trip.

Explore over 150 acres of restored habitat at Pickering Creek Audubon Center. Along the way, you’ll discover which birds benefit from these changes – spotting grassland species, waders like glossy ibis, forest birds, and the living shoreline along tidal Pickering Creek.

Cost Per Person: $50
Transportation: Provided from the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay, Cambridge, MD (Registrants may opt to arrange their own travel, but no discounts or refunds will be issued for unused transportation services.)
Accessibility: This field trip is a guided walk on the birding trail with uneven ground up to 3 miles.
