Registration is open for the Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional 2022 (CBLP)-Buffers certificate course, which provides a comprehensive 3-part program on riparian buffer planning, implementation, and management.  CBLP-Buffers is comprised of online and in-person training, interactive hands-on activities, field workshops, and supplemental videos and reading, with sessions offered in Pennsylvania and Virginia. Participants who attend all three sessions receive a certificate of completion. This course is appropriate for landscape, forestry, horticulture, conservation, and natural resources professionals, as well as educators and NGO and government staff. The 2022 CBLP-Buffers dates and locations are:

  • Buffer Basics Webinar – September 1 – 9AM – 12 PM – online interactive webinar (the webinar is also available as a stand-alone option)
  • Buffer Planning & Implementation Workshop – September 15 – 9 AM – 3 PM in Gettysburg, PA, OR Charlottesville, VA
  • Buffer Maintenance Workshop- September 20 – 1 – 4 PM in Gettysburg, PA  OR 9 AM – 12 PM in Crimora, VA

Partial scholarships are being provided by the James River Association for those who work in the middle- and upper James watersheds in Virginia and by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation for contractors working anywhere in Pennsylvania
