Join the Chesapeake Bay Foundation for a tree planting in Washington County where we will plant at least a thousand trees to create a forested buffer and increase biodiversity on historic farmland. Forested streamside buffers are an important part of managing water quality because they absorb and filter runoff before it reaches the water.
Attendees will learn about CBF’s farm stewardship program, regenerative agriculture, and the role trees play in mitigating climate change and improving water quality.
Gloves, shovels, water refills and a portable toilet will be provided, and we will provide attendees with site address upon registration.
