I know you are passionate about protecting nature and fighting environmental injustice. At Nature Forward, we know that advocacy works. As Margaret Mead famously said: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”

Now, I’d like to invite you to learn how to take your advocacy to the next level. Please check out my upcoming Conservation & Environmental Advocacy 101 on November 3, 1-3:30 pm. Our workshops teach powerful toolkits for moving from upset to action on environmental issues in these polarizing times.

We will cover the key introductory advocacy skills of communicating your WHY, connecting environmental solutions with human needs, and introducing campaign skills that allow everyone to bring their strengths to the table:

  • Researching issues and solutions
  • Developing an action plan
  • Communicating with decision-makers
  • Building coalitions to broaden support for your issue

Bring your own scenario to work with or just join in to be prepared for the next threat to your local environment. We will work through scenarios, use role-play and group and expert feedback, and actively practice our skills.

Thursday, November 3, 1:00 -3:30 pm.

Virtual via Zoom. $20 ANS members, $30 non-members.

I hope to see you there!
