Chesapeake Bay agriculture conservation practitioners and partners from across the 6-state region are encouraged to lean into NFWF’s Chesapeake Ag Networking Forum on Nov 15, 10AM-Noon to hear and learn from peers and national experts about the challenges and opportunities in improving conservation services that are respectful and supportive of diversity, equity, inclusion and justice. While in many rural landscapes, there is a perception that most farmers are majority white, the shifting demographics of “who” is farming in the community, and how to reach across cultures to serve new audiences is critical for practitioners to ensure that all farmers are being provided the services needed to build and sustain a health agricultural economy and one that is meeting the Chesapeake Bay restoration goals.
