Get outdoors in support of land preservation and clean water! This year, Gunpowder Valley Conservancy (GVC) is kicked off its Explore the Gunpowder Watershed Challenge on Earth Day, April 22nd! It is a 40 day-long hybrid, at-your-own-pace event where participants are encouraged to connect with nature, local businesses, and environmental stewardship. All you have to do is complete one or both of our challenges at your own pace between April 22 and May 31. There is a 35-mile Activity Challenge using the Pacer app ($35) and a Passport Challenge (free, file attached).
You can earn challenge coins and entry for the grand prize drawing for each challenge that you complete! The grand prize is a Gunpowder Getaway – one night at the historic Monkton Hotel (Fisherman’s Lodge) and a pair of Manor Mill concert tickets. All proceeds from the Challenge go to support Gunpowder Valley Conservancy’s work for healthy lands, healthy waterways, and healthy communities in the Gunpowder Watershed.
