Naturalist Hour
Melissa Boyle Acuti, Chief of Interpretation for the Maryland Park Service, introduces us to the “Create Your Own State Park” program, inspired by the research of Dr. Douglas Tallamy. This program was launched during the pandemic in 2020 while people were spending more time at home to encourage families to think of their own yards as personal state parks. Learn how you can participate in this new program, connect your family to nature, and have more fun outdoors, all while expanding native habitat for wildlife!
