New for this session: we will offer the course in both a fully in-person format, and a hybrid, online/field format. Both options balance highly interactive course content with a field day.   Summer 2022 participants will choose one of these two options:

Hybrid Option – One online session comprised of two half-day interactive online classes via Zoom plus one full day, in person, field practicum.  Choose one online session:

  • Session 1 – July 20 & 27, 9:00 AM – 12:15 PM
  • Session 2 – August 11 & 18, 9:00 AM – 12:15 PM

And choose one field day:  August 26- Ridgely, MD; August 31 – Derwood, MD; September 9 – State College, PA; September 21- Arlington, VA; September 29- Richmond, VA

In Person Option – two full days in person – one classroom and one in the field.  Choose one:

  • August 30-31: Derwood, MD
  • September 8-9: State College, PA
  • September 28-29: Richmond, VA

Discounts are available for companies or organizations sending three or more employees to Level 1. The Campbell Foundation, through Lancaster Clean Water Partners, is providing a limited number of $200 scholarships for any municipal staff in Lancaster County, PA. About CBLP: CBLP is a voluntary, regional credential on sustainable landscaping and green infrastructure in the Bay watershed. Visit http://cblpro.org/get-certified/ for information, and to apply. CBLP offers two levels of training:  Level 1 is a baseline certification in design, installation, and maintenance, emphasizing proper management of stormwater best management practices (BMPs).  Level 2 is an advanced credential in design or installation, focusing on stormwater BMPs.CBLP’s active learning program engages participants to develop critical thinking, problem solving, and collaborative practice skills. We focus on the unique ecology and regulatory environment of the Bay region. CBLP course attendees may earn continuing education credits from numerous professional organizations including ASLA, APLD, DNLA, MNLGA, PLNA, VNLA, VSLD, DE UNM, VA DEQ SWM/ESC Inspectors and VA UNM.  Level 1 candidates must have a degree, certificate, or certification in a related field, or have professional experience.
