Thought about planting trees along your creek or putting in a livestock watering system, but put off by the expense? Join Sustainability Matters for a free webinar on how to get state (Virginia) and federal funding to cover most of the cost of improving your land. Funding is available for fencing, erosion control, tree planting, pollinator meadows, and more.
****PLEASE NOTE: This webinar is geared at the professional farm community in the USA. Not a farmer? We plan to host a similar workshop for a general (non-agricultural) audience in 2022. Or, check out the video of last year’s general audience webinar in the Videos section of Sustainability Matters’ Facebook page.****
We’ll hear from representatives of the Farm Service Agency (FSA), Lord Fairfax Soil and Water Conservation District (LFSWCD), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), and Virginia Department of Forestry (DOF). They’ll explain the funding they offer, what it covers, and who’s eligible.
We’ll get the farmer perspective too. Craig Miller of Harrisonburg’s Miller Farm will discuss his long experience with conservation cost-share programs, and how he’s made them work for him.
This webinar is sponsored by Rockingham Co-operative; we’re grateful for their commitment to the farm community!
The event is free, but REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED here:
