CALL FOR CLIMATE & ENVIRONMENTAL SECTOR EMPLOYERS

Bowie State University (BSU), Maryland’s first Historically Black University and the Greater Washington Region Clean Cities Coalition (GWRCCC), one of nearly 80 coalitions in the US that fosters economic, environmental, and energy security to advance affordable, domestic transportation fuels, and other fuel-saving technologies, team up to host another Climate Career Expo at BSU.

This is the third year of this event with the first starting in 2022 as all virtual and last year held in person at Bowie State.  This year, the expo has invited our fellow central Maryland HBCUs—Morgan State and Coppin State Universities.   *THIS IS FREE for employers.

The event is geared specifically around jobs & work opportunities in the environmental, green, and clean energy sector primarily for undergraduate and graduate students.  We have normally averaged about 20-25 employers in local, state, and federal agencies as well as non-profits. We encourage students of ANY major to attend.

*VIP participants/speakers have included: (but not limited to) past Secretary of the Environment, Ben Grumbles, past UMCES President Dr. Peter Godwin, BSU President Dr. Aminta Breaux, Prince George’s County council members: Ingrid Watson (District 4) and Mel Franklin (District 9).

Please see website for more information and to register: https://bowiestate.edu/about/sustainability/special-events/climate-career-expo/  The registration for this career fair is waived!  **The deadline for employers to register is February 29**
