Part 2 of 3 in a webinar series from the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, Maryland Departments of Environment and Natural Resources, and Maryland Sea Grant on behalf of the Maryland Commission on Climate Change and its workgroups. The webinar series is offered in three parts between December 2021 and January 2022. The second webinar, Finance Mechanisms for Enhancing Maryland’s Blue Carbon Sinks, taking place December 15, 1-3pm, will explore available and future potential environmental finance mechanisms to protect and enhance Maryland’s blue carbon ecosystems. The webinar will include a look at opportunities to scale the impact of ongoing restoration efforts as well as topics related to co-benefits tracking and stacking, creating an enabling regulatory environment, and attracting private investment and innovative finance to accelerate coastal resilience and carbon sequestration.
