Winter Woody Plant ID is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to identify woody plants in their natural habitat during the winter season. By the end of the course, participants will better understand how to differentiate between species and confidently identify woody plants in winter. Woody species will be identified through lectures, field trips and field/lab keying. Students will examine twigs, bark and other leafless characteristics.
