Wild Foraging for Solutions to Stress
Date: August 11, 2018
Time: 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
Location: Fox Haven Farm and Learning Center, 3630 Poffenberger Rd, Jefferson, MD, USA
The height of summer offers us many medicinally potent botanicals and is the perfect time to gather and prepare them for the fallow months and the hectic times of life. Join us in a search for plants that ease stress, strengthen the immune system and calm the nerves. Together you’ll craft an infused cordial or tincture.
Plants we may see: blackberry, elderberry, motherwort, catnip, monarda, st john’s wort, mugwort
For the first 2-3 hours class will be held in the field, gathering plants and learning botany skills. After a quick picnic lunch, the last hour is spent processing a take-home medicinal.
