Sea Level Rise: Technical Guidance for Dorchester County (by Wanda Diane Cole)
This guidance document was prepared for Dorchester County, MD by looking at four distinct planning strategies that need to be addressed when planning for the long-term implications of sea level rise. They are: Vulnerability and Impact Assessment; Long-Range and Comprehensive Planning; Codes, Regulations and Development Standards; and Public Education and Outreach.
Roadmap for Adapting to Coastal Risks
The course objectives are to lay out a process for designing a local assessment process; assessing hazard and climate threats and impacts; assesing vulnerabilities of people, places and resources; and using assessment findings to develop resilience strategies.
