EDUCATION PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Annapolis Maritime Museum & Park

The Education Center at the Annapolis Maritime Museum & Park (AMMP) educates youth and adults about maritime heritage and the ecology of the Chesapeake Bay through engaging programs, exhibits, and community events. The Education Center is recognized for its outstanding education programs; educating more than 8,000 students annually on the history, ecology and cultural traditions of the Chesapeake Bay. The AMMP is seeking a part-time Education Coordinator to oversee administrative aspects of the Museum’s Education Center. This is a 20-hour a week, $15.00 an hour position with flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities:
• Schedule all education programs including answering inquiries, booking programs, updating education calendars, sending confirmation packets, coordinating bus transportation and sending program evaluations
• Track program data including participant demographics, attendance and school status (Title 1)
• Manage program contact lists for marketing campaigns
• Develop program reports including participant numbers, and program evaluations
• Manage education program financial transactions including invoicing and, payment processing
• Manage education programs expenditures including reordering supplies and restocking
• Manage education content for website
• Assist the Education Director with submitting grants, and grant reporting
• Assist the Education Team with program implementation as needed

Skills and Qualifications:
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• At least four years of administrative experience including office management skills, basic accounting skills, and customer service
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Proficient with computers including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to work with a high-energy team
• Flexibility and the ability to work in a fast paced office with a variety of staff
• Maintain the high standards and quality of the Education Center programs
• Must pass a background check
