Elizabeth River Project is looking for an accounting professional to join our team! In addition to using your accounting expertise, make a difference and change the world as you work for a mission that is bringing back eagles, river otters, sea horses, dolphins and more to the Elizabeth River.
This position is responsible for performing routine to complex professional accounting work involving the research, analysis, preparation, and maintenance of financial records and reports. This position works directly under the Director of Finance, simultaneously supporting the Director and gradually learning the duties of the Director’s role. The Assistant Director will have the potential to advance to the Director of Finance role within 12 to 24 months of employment, given the required skills and qualifications are met and progress of the Assistant Director allows for a smooth transition upward.
Qualifications and experience of the desired candidate include:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting and a minimum of 3 years’ accounting experience required
- Designation as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred
- Experience with non-profit accounting and/or grant accounting preferred
Salary range $60,000-$75,000 with a comprehensive benefits package.
