The DC Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) is seeking an Associate Director to lead our Regulatory Review Division, which focuses on policies and programs that protect and restore the District’s waters. The Division is recognized nationally as a leader in innovative stormwater management programs including progressive stormwater retention regulations, the stormwater retention credit trading program, green area ratio regulations, flood plain management, and other initiatives. DOEE seeks a candidate with expertise in management and administration who has strong writing and communication skills. It is important that the incumbent have the demonstrated ability to work with internal and external stakeholders, including in the environmental and development communities and with federal regulators. This includes the ability to effectively listen to, understand, and reconcile conflicting points of view and incorporate solutions into programs and policies as appropriate.
