The Corps Member will take a lead in curriculum development, which will tailor existing resources provided by CorpsTHAT and create new ones to provide hands-on environmental conservation lessons for the deaf and hard of hearing students in local Deaf schools and mainstream programs. Responsibilities will include developing, implementing, monitoring, and revising lesson plans. The Member will work closely with the Corps Member mentor and assist CorpsTHAT staff in providing experiential teaching and training in order to help connect teachers and students to the outdoors and conservation. This Corps Member will need to understand how to interact with deaf and hard of hearing minority students with a wide range of diverse educational backgrounds. The job will incorporate 80% office and 20% time in on-the-ground implementation.
