Biohabitats is seeking a Construction Operations Lead to direct and oversee all construction activities for Biohabitats nationwide. Biohabitats offers ecological restoration, green infrastructure, and water conservation & treatment construction services to government and private clients throughout the country. Services include design-build, general contracting, construction administration, and maintenance.
We are looking for someone with a solid background in environmental, landscape, or civil
construction operations and administration to lead our construction work. Responsibilities include client cultivation, construction coordination, contracts management & negotiation, bonding & risk management, bidding & project support, business development, and safety.
Ensuring successful projects and exceptional client service is paramount. Leadership skills, an enthusiasm for collaboration, and a passion for the environment is essential. Travel will be required.
Skills Required
» Experience with general contracting and design-build delivery methods
» Excellent organizational and communication skills
» Solid contract negotiation skills
» Strong familiarity with bonding and risk management practices
» Strong familiarity with bidding, job cost accounting, and scheduling software
» Strong safety record
» Ability to work within a team framework on multiple projects across multiple offices
» Solid business development skills
Additional Skills Helpful
» Knowledge of ecological restoration and green infrastructure work
Education
BS+ in Engineering, Construction Management, or Natural Sciences
Licenses and Certifications
Professional Registration Certified Construction Manager (CCM) is a plus
