Biohabitats seeks an engineer or designer with a solid foundation in the principles
of stream, wetland, and ecological restoration and applied experience leading
complex restoration projects from concept through CDs, permits, and implementation.

The Senior Engineer/Restoration Ecologist will lead a variety of public, private,
and institutional projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, and will have the
opportunity to collaborate on restoration projects across the United States. Projects,
which will vary in type, scale, and complexity, will include stream and wetland
restoration, stormwater management design, and the development of integrated
ecological restoration and engineering designs.

Primary Responsibilities
»»Client management and coordination of project teams
»»Stream, wetland, shoreline, and coastal restoration design
»»Developing stormwater management retrofit design plans
»»Environmental Site Design (ESD) assessment and design
»»Creating site-specific conceptual designs through construction documents
»»Preparing specifications and cost estimates
»»Construction bid support and construction inspection

Required Skills
»»Client management and project management experience
»»Proposal and task order development experience
»»Stream, wetland, shoreline, and/or outfall restoration design experience
»»Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
»»Strong written and oral communication skills
»»Unwavering environmental ethic

Education
BS, MS, or PhD in engineering, environmental science, landscape architecture, or related field

Professional Registration
None―Maryland PE or PLA (or ability to obtain through reciprocity) is a plus
