This is primarily a field position involving the implementation of restoration and resiliency projects in the Chesapeake and Coastal Service of MD DNR. As a Natural Resources Manager, the employee will coordinate technical survey crews, develop planting plans, monitor project sites, conduct topographic surveys, conduct wetland and forest stand delineations, and assess project sites for appropriate Best Management Practices, prepare plans for and conduct invasive plant management at assigned restoration sites. The employee prepares and maintains a budget related to the planning and completion of restoration projects as assigned and may be asked to develop and manage implementation grants awarded to restoration partners. The NR Manager will also work with contractors and local government and non-profit partners across the state to provide technical assistance and management of restoration projects. This position serves as a regional ecological restoration coordinator and expected to be proficient in the areas of environmental impact, natural communities, and restoration.
