We are seeking an experienced Construction Surveyor to join our field team and support a diverse portfolio of restoration projects.

Job Overview:
The Construction Surveyor will support project teams by collecting, interpreting, and recording survey data related to construction layout, site conditions, and as-built documentation. This role works closely with project managers, designers, and construction crews to ensure that designs are accurately implemented in the field and documented upon completion.

A Registered Surveyor is the ideal candidate for this position, and compensation will be commensurate with licensure and experience. Candidates with relevant surveying experience who are not yet licensed are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform field surveys for construction layout, topographic mapping, and as-built documentation
  • Operate GPS and total station equipment to collect precise measurements – specific equipment/programs include Trimble TSC5 Data Collector, Trimble R10 GNSS Base/Rover, Trimble S5 Robotic Total Station, Civil 3D, Trimble Access, Seafloor Hydrolite Sonar System, and potentially M350 Matrice Drone.
  • Lead layout for grading, structures, and other project features
  • Interpret engineering plans and CAD drawings
  • Record and report survey data clearly and accurately
  • Support construction spot-checks and quality control during active work
  • Maintain and calibrate survey equipment
  • Assist with project documentation and coordination with design and construction staff

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Prior experience required in construction surveying or land surveying
  • Registered Surveyor preferred; pay will be commensurate with licensure and experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant surveying experience for non-licensed applicants
  • Proficiency with GPS, robotic total stations, and data collectors
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or related CAD/survey software
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on active construction sites
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Clear communication skills
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
