Clean Virginia Waterways, a leader in the prevention of plastic pollution & marine debris, is growing! We are looking for a Director with experience in nonprofit management, and a PASSION for keeping plastic pollution out of the environment.

The Director will work closely with CVW’s Executive Director to develop and advance CVW’s mission. The Director will plan, coordinate, and assure implementation of strategies to decrease plastic pollution, litter, and marine debris through raising awareness, behavior change campaigns (using community-based social marketing methods), research, and cleanup/removal projects.

The Director will collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies; schools; Tribes; nongovernment organizations; businesses; and others. The Director will assume additional responsibilities in the absence of the Executive Director. In addition, the Director will teach one course each semester on the Longwood University campus. The position is year round with benefits.
