Position: Staff Scientist Location: Charlottesville, Virginia

Position Description:

Ecosystem Services is seeking an environmental scientist candidate with relevant experience and a willingness to be an active participant in the growth of our company. Compensation will be based on the experience and qualifications of the applicant along with a competitive benefits package. This position will support natural resource permitting, environmental report writing, and field data processing and reporting.

 

Qualifications:

Required Preferred
·         B.S. or Technical Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related natural resource discipline ·        Familiarity with Section 401/404 permitting for variety of projects
·         1+ years of relevant experience ·        Familiarity with surveying practices
·         Proficiency at technical report writing ·        Experience conducting mitigation monitoring
·         Examples of work experience ·        Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D
·         Excellent oral and written communication skills ·        Familiarity with ArcPro (ESRI software)
·         Authorized to work in the U.S., possess valid driver’s license

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Prepare technical reports
  • Prepare environmental permitting documents
  • Prepare mitigation success monitoring reporting
  • Assist with environmental field studies
  • Perform ArcGIS map production
