We seek experienced educators to teach residential environmental science education programming to 5th and 7th graders from Washington DC and northern Virginia. Competitive daily rate and furnished housing provided. Position dates: Sep. 3rd-Nov. 8th.

 

About the Position

Environmental Science Educators in Prince William Forest Park teach environmental science education programs to students from the Washington DC area in a residential outdoor school setting. Most students are in 5th or 7th grade, and attend for a three-day program. Educators provide diverse student groups with meaningful outdoor experiences that connect them to nature, facilitate opportunities for personal and social growth, and share the excitement and wonder of hands-on science. Qualifications include 1-2 years of relevant teaching experience and a Wilderness First Aid certification. Furnished housing and paid training days included.
