Howard County Conservancy
Event & Rental Staff Part-Time Position
The Howard County Conservancy is looking for Event Staff to support weddings and special events held at the Conservancy. This is a part-time position of approximately 0-20 hours per week for as long as your services are required.
For your services, the Howard County Conservancy will pay $16/hr.
Duties may include:
- Overseeing event rentals and interacting with caterers, clients and other vendors
- Addressing building issues that may arise during an event
- Monitoring all activities to ensure no damage is caused to the Conservancy building or grounds
- Completing all check in and check out paperwork to ensure the building and grounds are left in appropriate condition by the lessee and vendors.
- Serving as a representative of the Conservancy and providing customer service to visitors as needed.
- Evenings and weekend hours will be required.
- Other duties as assigned.
This position works out of our Woodstock, MD location. The hourly rate is $16.00/hour, and as a part-time employee benefits are not included.
The Howard County Conservancy is a 35-year-old nonprofit nature center and land trust. Our home base is the 232-acre Mt. Pleasant Farm in Woodstock, MD. We also operate a Nature Preschool at Belmont Manor and Historic Park in Elkridge, MD. Our grounds feature 5 miles of trails, native, pollinator and community gardens and the only historic farmstead open to the public in Howard County. We reach more than 30,000 people each year through our pre k-12th grade environmental education programs and a rich variety of programs for the community. To accomplish our work, the Conservancy employs full time staff, part time staff, seasonal staff, interns and a cadre of committed volunteers.
