Are you interested in gaining experience serving on a non-profit board?  Or looking for ways to support Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary? The Friends of Jug Bay is looking for new Board members.

FOJB, a non-profit organization, supports Jug Bay and Jug Bay staff in their mission of environmental stewardship, education, and research. Serving on the Board also offers an excellent professional development opportunity for those interested in networking and learning more about the environmental job sector or non-profit management.

Needed Areas of service:

The executive team of the Board is looking to fill its Treasurer and Vice President positions.

In addition, the board needs members who know or are willing to learn about the following areas:

  • Fundraising – Help develop and carry out fundraising strategies for exciting new initiatives at Jug Bay
  • Communications –Help communicate about FOJB membership and fundraising efforts through email and social media.
  • Website and CRM (constituent relationship management) database management – Help to keep the FOJB webpage updated, and manage and strategize communications and connections with our constituents

We ask Board members to commit for a minimum two-year term. The Board meets monthly on the second Tuesday of each month for 2 hours, and we ask Board members to attend at least 75% of meetings.  Currently meetings are held virtually.  Throughout the year Board members are present at FOJB-sponsored events such as the Annual Picnic, Members meetings, as well participating in events as they come up, if possible.
