Gunpowder Valley Conservancy (GVC) seeks an experienced and highly organized Grants Manager to oversee the
full lifecycle of multiple state and federal grants. This role is critical to ensuring compliance, timely reporting, and
successful delivery of grant-funded projects across the organization. The Grants Manager will lead grant
coordination efforts across teams, guiding staff who are not direct reports to meet reporting deadlines, track
deliverables, and align project activities with funder requirements.

The ideal candidate is a strong project manager who thrives in deadline-driven environments, communicates
clearly, and can balance ongoing grant management with proactive grant prospecting and proposal development.

Position term, schedule, salary and benefits

  • Salaried, full-time, exempt, 40 hours a week
  • Dependent on experience: $70,000 – $88,500 per year
  • Flexible schedule. Mainly remote, with meetings in the Baltimore region.
  • Reimbursement of roundtrip travel mileage from home to worksite ($0.67 cents/mile, not to exceed 70
    miles a trip).
  • Work laptop provided.
  • Training and coaching

Location

This position is structured to be a combination of remote and in-person work, focused on the
Gunpowder watershed, which is located primarily in Baltimore County, with portions in Harford, Carroll, and York
counties. Travel to in-person events and meetings within the service area required. Employee must provide their
own transportation, quiet workspace, and reliable internet service.
