Howard EcoWorks is now hiring for the summer 2019 READY Program!

The “works” part of Howard EcoWorks is workforce development. READY (Restoring the Environment And Developing Youth) is a summer employment program for young people 16 to 25 years of age from Howard County. READY participants construct and maintain stormwater best management practices to help improve watershed health.

READY participants are trained in the design and installation of green stormwater practices such as rain gardens, conservation landscapes and more!  They receive job skills training as well as learn about local and regional environmental issues.
READY participants must…
… be Howard County residents
… be between the ages of 16 & 25 as of June 17, 2019
… work outside performing moderate physical labor.
… have a good attitude and care about the environment.
Participants also receive CBLP-A (Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional-Associate) Training and Certificate!
