Registration is now open for 2025 Jug Bay Summer Internships.

The deadline to apply is March 28, 2025!

This summer, Jug Bay is offering (2) two environmental research-focused internships and (1) one environmental education and interpretation internship to undergraduate and graduate students.

$4,000 for each intern is generously provided by the Friends of Jug Bay non-profit organization.

Topics for 2025 Research Internship:

  • Excavating African-American History at Emory Waters Preserve
  • Studying Jug Bay’s Wild Turkey Population
  • Determining the Use of Sanctuary Meadows by Butterflies and/or Native Bees
  • Waterbird Population Trends
  • or choose your own topic

Topics for 2024 Environmental Education and Interpretation Internship:

  • Oral History Project
  • Behavioral Change Campaign with Outreach Component
  • Educational Programs for Glendenning Nature Preserve
  • Other
