Position Details

We are pleased to announce that we are hiring a full-time Marketing Manager to join our team. The Marketing Manager will work on a variety of projects to develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans for Green Fin Studio and our clients, to include social media, web, newsletters, in-person events, sponsorship and tabling opportunities, publications, and other channels. Our internal marketing plan will support our strategic plan, priorities, and voice to maintain current clients, while attracting new clients. Marketing plans for our clients will support their specific goals, often including increased awareness and engagement, event participation, behavior change (community-based social marketing), and more.

Candidates must have demonstrated experience working in environmental, scientific, and/or social marketing. Our clients rely on us to quickly identify key messages and translate technical information because we are skilled communicators who also have scientific and environmental backgrounds.

Summary of Position Duties

Provide strategic recommendations and plans for both Green Fin Studio’s and client marketing, communications, and public relations efforts.

Provide oversight of our brand and support to our clients to ensure consistent and compelling content across platforms and materials.

Lead development and execution of marketing campaigns and content development to best position Green Fin Studio and our clients on social media platforms, and other digital, print, and on-air media channels.

Oversee development and execution of strategic partnerships and sponsorships for Green Fin Studio and our clients.

Manage regular content development and posting on social media, newsletter, and website for Green Fin Studio, while evaluating analytics to adapt strategies.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following basic qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing B2B marketing plans and strategies for professional organizations;
  • Documented use of innovative strategies to increase marketing effectiveness;
  • Proficiency in a variety of software platforms in support of marketing strategies, to include, but not limited to, social media scheduling software, Google analytics, social media platform analytics, etc.
  • Demonstrated proficiencies in translating scientific and technical information to broader audiences via a variety of media, including online, print, educational, and in-person;
  • Experience working with the scientific and environmental community;
  • Demonstrated proficiency with website updates and maintenance, WordPress platform preferred;
  • Demonstrated experience with content development for social media and web;
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in similar position;
  • Project management experience;
  • Media relations experience preferred;
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as an engaged and supportive team member;
  • Bachelor’s degree in any related field; and
  • Applicants must be able to work within our Richmond office at least two days per week.

Necessary hardware and software will be provided. Position salary is commensurate with experience.
