The Maryland Coastal Bays Program (MCBP), a 501(c)3 non-profit National Estuary Program, has been dedicated to preserving and restoring the waters and watershed near Assateague Island and Ocean City, Maryland for over twenty years. We are currently seeking creative, motivated applicants for a paid seasonal educator position focused on creating meaningful watershed experiences for teachers, students, residents, and seasonal visitors. MCBP provides both outdoor and classroom educational programs, as well as field-oriented opportunities for community outreach and service learning. The seasonal educator will gain invaluable experience working with a diverse range of audiences directly in the outdoors. In addition to experiencing the variety of exciting education offerings at MCBP, the seasonal educator will also learn the operation of a National Estuary Program, meet key environmental partners, participate in scientific monitoring, and expand their knowledge of the MD Coastal Bays and Delmarva Peninsula. This 7-month, 32-hour week, position will begin on April 1, 2019 and will run through October 31, 2019.
