The Department of Natural Resources, Tidewater Ecosystem Assessment Division, is currently accepting applications for a full time, contractual Natural Resources Biologist III position (see link for official position description).

The main function is to protect and restore Maryland’s waterways by providing support for managing projects relating to the State Lakes Protection and Restoration funds.  This position is in the Tidewater Ecosystem Assessment Division, which is part of the Resource Assessment Service Unit.

Duties will include field work and lots of time spent on boats in the bay and state-owned lakes.  Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours occasionally.  Candidate must be comfortable working aboard boats under various weather conditions. Candidate must have a valid Driver’s License and be able to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
