This position serves as program coordinator for the Stewardship Goal Implementation Team and facilitates coordination and engagement among non-governmental organizations and local, state and federal agencies to achieve goals and outcomes set through the Chesapeake Bay Program’s (CBP) 2014 Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement and Executive Order 13508 — Chesapeake Bay Protection and Restoration. The CBP is a regional partnership leading and directing restoration of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries since 1983.

Responsibilities include: developing, coordinating and facilitating partner implementation of plans, strategies, initiatives and projects to conserve and protect land, expand public access and outdoor recreation, foster citizen stewardship, enhance environmental literacy and expand diversity, equity and inclusion in these efforts; providing expert technical assistance to partner organizations on planning related to land conservation, public access, citizen stewardship; building networks and collaboration with partners to achieve shared goals; and coordinating tracking of progress to implement goals, management strategies and action plans.

This position is located in the National Park Service (NPS) Chesapeake Bay Office in Annapolis, Maryland, which represents the NPS in the Chesapeake Bay Program partnership. Information about the Chesapeake Bay program may be found at http://www.chesapeakebay.net.
