The Nanticoke Watershed Alliance is in search of a smart, creative, self-driven individual to help our organization grow. The Outreach Coordinator is an entry-level position, with opportunity to grow and develop skills and knowledge. Upcoming projects consist of:

•Promoting stormwater pollution reduction programs and conservation landscaping,•Creating new outreach materials such as brochures on environmentally related topics,
•Coordinating public volunteer events like river cleanups and tree plantings,•Attending and coordinating outreach at public events and festivals,
•Coordinating and producing quarterly newsletters,
•Creating content and campaigns for traditional and social media,
•Conducting outreach to land-owning organizations like churches and civic associations to encourage bay-friendly landscape practices,
•Assisting with homeowner conservation landscaping projects like rain gardens and designer ditches,
•Translating technical environmental information to the community in a public-friendly way,
•Keeping our constituent database up-to-date, and
•Assisting with our award-winning volunteer water quality monitoring program, as well as special events and a wide variety of other projects as needed.

Requirements
•Four-year degree in the environmental field or a relevant subject
•Be very detail-oriented and organized
•Have ambition and drive to manage programs
•Able to work in a team or independently
•Enjoy developing creative outreach programs
•Have experience in environmental education
•Understanding of conservation landscaping practices, such as rain gardens and othernature-based landscaping, and knowledge of native plants are a plus
•Ability to work some evenings and weekends for special events.

Annual Salary: $33,000

Benefits: In addition to salary, $4,950 will be provided for health care and retirement. Employees have flexible work schedules (full-time, 35 hours/week) and may work remotely three days a week. NWA employees receive 20 vacation days a year, as well as, 10 holidays, and 12 sick days to be used for the employee or their family’s needs.
