Chesapeake Research Consortium’s C-StREAM Internships

The Chesapeake Research Consortium’s (CRC) Chesapeake Student Recruitment, Early Advisement, and Mentoring (C-StREAM) program internships are a great way for college students to explore careers in marine, environmental, and climate-related fields. Our summer interns will work with NOAA Chesapeake Bay Office, EPA, and other experts for roughly 12 weeks during the summer. Interns gain valuable experience, boost their resumes, and try out potential careers. And they also contribute to CRC’s mission!

The Chesapeake Research Consortium,  located at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center (SERC) in Edgewater Maryland, will offer several Chesapeake-focused internships through two internship programs in summer the of 2023. CHESAPEAKE-STUDENT RECRUITMENT, EARLY ADVISEMENT, AND MENTORING PROGRAM

The Chesapeake-Student Recruitment, Early Advisement, and Mentoring program is for students who identify as people of color and/or are first-generation college students. These internships are for undergraduate students who will enter their sophomore, junior, or senior year of college this fall. They are also open to recent college graduates, including graduate students. There are eight areas of focus for this program. The C-StREAM Summer Internship Program engages college students in working and learning about science, policy, and education. These internships are for students who will enter their sophomore, junior, or senior year of college this fall.
