The Elizabeth River Project is looking for someone with passion for protecting the environment to join our organization as a Restoration Specialist. Make a difference and change the world as you work for a nonprofit mission that is bringing back eagles, river otters, sea horses, dolphins and more to the Elizabeth River.

The Restoration Specialist assists with our River Star Homes Program, actively collaborating with property owners on the Elizabeth River watershed to help make our river cleaner. This includes implementing on-the-ground improvements to help homeowners reduce their environmental impact on the Elizabeth River, conducting site assessments for sustainable landscaping opportunities, assisting with design and permit of shoreline restoration projects, and assisting with a variety of other tasks that help enrich our community.

Qualifications and experience of the desired candidate include strong communication skills, ability to provide great customer service, and ability to work proficiently outdoors to complete restoration practices requiring manual labor and strenuous fieldwork within safe working conditions.

This full-time position pays $15 to $17 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package.
