Native Plant Nursery, now in its 49th year operating from the 7 acre location in St. Michaels, MD, seeking seasonal nursery workers to assist with sowing, growing and maintaining native plants. Environmental Concern specializes in growing true native plants for sale to the public and the wholesale trade, and to use in their restoration projects.
A qualified candidate exercises good judgment, is energetic, and able to stand, bend and lift for extended periods of time in all weather conditions. Workers will assist in plant production, order processing, and maintenance of native plants. Watering and weeding plants is required on a daily basis. Some horticultural experience is a plus, but not required. Candidate must be flexible, reliable and willing to work efficiently with the nursery team. Must have clean driver’s license.
Starting salary $11.50/hr, or commensurate with experience.
