Due to our continuing growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an entry level position as a stormwater inspector that will report to our Hunt valley, MD location.  This is a great position for a new college graduate or a technician who has been in similar fields and would like to firmly establish a career track in the stormwater industry.  Our inspectors learn everything stormwater from the ground up and have consistently moved up into other key positions within our organization.

The purpose of this position is to inspect and document the condition of existing stormwater management and drainage systems after construction is completed. This is not a position that inspects active construction activities.

The position is full time, usually in the range or 40 to 45 hours per week. More hours will be required on occasion. Work hours will vary and schedule flexibility is required between the hours of 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM.

The position will involve field work including driving to sites, visual inspection and documentation, taking photographs, using tablet apps, obtaining water samples, walking through rough terrain and vegetation, and entering pipes, manholes, and similar structures. Appropriate training for confined space entry will be provided.

The position also requires office work to record findings from the field in pre-established formats on a computer. This includes writing some narrative descriptions of observations and adhering to established reporting protocols.  The position will also stormwater sampling on industrial sites for compliance with NPDES permits, and other work in support of our design group.

The position requires:

* A relatively clean driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier.
* Good communication skills (friendly, outgoing, courteous, etc)
* Capability to work in both office and field environments.
* Basic computer skills.
* Must be able to read site plans.
* Detail oriented.

Prefer experience in one or more of the following:
* Reading or drafting of civil site plans and related drawings
* Drainage and/or stormwater management design
* Land surveying
* Construction implementation and/or estimating
* Construction inspection or geotechnical testing
* Post-construction stormwater and BMP inspection
* CCTV pipeline inspection
* CAD or GIS

Must not have any issues with heights or being in underground confined spaces.
