This is a full-time TERM position located in the National Park Service Chesapeake Bay Office. The primary focus of the position is to initiate an educational and programmatic outreach project benefiting the NPS Chesapeake Gateways & WaterTrails Network and the Chesapeake Bay Program.
The incumbent will be responsible for: assessing current Chesapeake stewardship-related curriculum and programming, developing new educational program templates for partners; conducting regional training workshops for environmental educators and teachers; implementing a new National Park Service Junior Ranger program; providing technical assistance for education and outreach projects supported through NPS financial assistance awards; and evaluating and revising a voluntary stewardship code for the general public.
