Education Coordinator: Responsible for the development and implementation of the District’s natural resource conservation and environmental educational programs including creation of related materials and publications. Duties require experience in presenting information on conservation issues to a wide variety of audiences including school-aged children and adults. A background and education in environmental science, natural resource management, conservation, biology, or environmental education is preferred. Strong communication, computer, verbal, and writing skills are required. Strong candidates will possess an understanding of instructional processes and the Virginia Standards of Learnings (SOLs). Requires the ability to work outside of the office including standing for long periods of time, walking over uneven terrain while leading and teaching groups, tolerating varying temperatures and changing weather conditions. Position is full-time with some evening and weekend work hours required.  Occasional overnight travel may be required. Candidates must possess a valid Virginia driver’s license and be responsible for providing their own reliable transportation to and from the office including offsite events when District vehicle is unavailable. Salary range is $25,000–$45,000 based on experience.
