|Assists with the planning, coordination, and implementation of all field activities related to forest pest management. Field activities can range from checking and processing forest pest monitoring traps, evaluating the health and condition of trees, and applying pesticides to treat for forest pests. Educates citizens about forest pest biology, impact, and control options. Delivers presentations at public information meetings and classrooms. Creates updates and distributes program publication. Works under the supervision of the Urban Forester III.|
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in urban forestry, forestry, horticulture, environmental science, landscape architecture, agriculture or related field.CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to be available twenty-four hours a day/seven days a week (24/7) to respond to snow, flooding, and other designated emergencies on an as needed basis. Are you willing and able to perform this function
